About us
d’Vine Wine Tours is a small, locally run company, which launched in the Winter of 2013. Wine and food enthusiasts Breana Agnello and Ewen Lawrie are the proud ‘parents’ behind this fresh and crisp take on the wine tourism industry here in Perth.
Both born and bred in Perth, they always had a great love for Western Australia’s lush South West wine country. The wine, the food, the overall atmosphere was so desirable to them. Ewen had spent some time living in Margaret River and gained extensive knowledge of wine tourism through working in cellar doors and helping manage a small boutique wine tour company down there. Breana on the other hand, completed her bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism management and went onto improving her knowledge of the industry and in the world of wine through resorts, hotels and fine dining restaurants. Further gaining knowledge through Wine Education Courses held here in Perth.
As they both shared this crazy passion for wine, food and entertaining, they decided to put their knowledge together and create a tour company with the perfect blend – much like the perfect wine – which they could share with the people of the world.
Before starting d’Vine Tours, Breana and Ewen spent a lot of their free time exploring the Swan Valley – being right on Perth’s doorstep it was easy enough to do! They fell in love with the historic region and the beautiful boutique family run wineries. The rich history of the area and knowing that some of the wineries had been within the families for many generations was so heart warming to Bre and Ewen. They also adored the old vine ‘warmer climate’ wines to be found in the Swan Valley – particularly the Shiraz and Grenache. So, it was obvious to them that beginning their wine tour journey in the Swan Valley was the ideal thing to do.
Breana and Ewen set out with a mission to provide a first class informative and fun tour which showcases the quality of wine and food in the Swan Valley. Their tours focus on appreciation of wine, education about the tastings process and even a little cellar door etiquette.
d’Vine Wine Tours strives to provide a service that meets the needs of a broader market. No matter what you fancy – we offer something for everyone.
They are also very passionate about supporting the local community – majority of the venues in the Swan Valley only sell their products through their venues. If they don’t have the traffic, then how do people know how good their produce is?! Now 7 years on, d’Vine Tours has still remained a small locally run ‘family’ business with Breana’s sister Taryn joining the team in late 2014. Although Breana and Ewen still run the company, Taryn is your go-to girl and Operations Manager at d’Vine HQ. You’ll often see Breana bouncing around the valley hosting tours and talking wine as well as managing the company hands on. Ewen is the ‘behind the scenes’ guru on lots of essential components within d’Vine.
They also have a friendly and VERY awesome d’Vine Team of tour guides that take the tours that are run. Without the loyal team that d’Vine has – they would not be where they are today!
Over the years, d’Vine Tours have specialized in customizing private and corporate wine and brewery tours to the Swan Valley as well as being the main tour operator to the Bickley Valley wine region located in the Perth Hills.
