Elmar’s in the Valley is a German Restaurant and Brewery that celebrates traditional German and Australian cuisine in the tranquil surrounds of the Swan Valley region in Western Australia. It is Perth’s largest German establishment, established by Anette and Elmar Dieren in 2005, who migrated to Australia in 1987. Anette and Elmar brought with them German knowledge, experience and a passion for fine food. Elmar’s in the Valley is renowned for its Schweinehaxe (pork knuckle), which is pickled and roasted until tender, with perfect crisp crackling on the outside.
Elmar’s is also the Swan Valley’s biggest beer garden, with over two acres of lush green lawn and shady gumtrees. It’s home to the largest micro kettles in the southern hemisphere, with five beers currently brewed onsite and is a family friendly venue enjoyed by couples, young families and groups of friends, young and old. Every Saturday and Sunday the venue has live music from New Zealand born music icon Ben Merito.
Many of the tours that we run include Elmars, to learn more about them and book your spot, check out our daily tours page.
